Case contributed by Bahman Rasuli
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Weight loss and cough for about 6 months.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

Multiple lung nodules and masses of variable size throughout both lungs.

Extensive bilateral pleural metastatic disease is noted coating the parietal surfaces and extending into the pulmonary fissures.

Moderate right pleural effusion.

Case Discussion

Cannon-ball pulmonary metastases may be seen in a variety of conditions. After diagnosis, the patient tended not to be referred for more evaluation and left untreated so the primary origin of metastasis was not identified.
