There are extensive plexiform neurofibromas seen in the subcutaneous layer of the face, scalp, masticator spaces, parotid spaces, carotid spaces and the orbits. There is associated proptosis of the right globe. The lesions appear isointense on T1, heterogeneously enhancing on gadolinium administration and demonstrate the typical target appearance on T2/FLAIR sequences.
