Plexiform neurofibroma - neurofibromatosis type 1

This patient presented with a large mass in her neck and was referred for an MRI.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

There is a large subcutaneous mass in the right neck containing many structures with low signal on T1W, heterogeneous on T2FS, associated with the typical target sign and fair enhancement.

There is also diffuse subcutaneous neurofibromatosis in the region of the head and neck.
