Gas-containing cystic structure with thin sclerotic irregular margin in the iliac component of the left sacroiliac joint. The cyst does not communicate with the joint nor show abnormal FDG uptake.
Case Discussion
The differential diagnosis of this finding includes osteomyelitis from organisms producing gas, but the absence of high FDG uptake within the cysts excludes the diagnosis of infection.
