Figure 1: "Photograph of a roentgenogram of the head after injection of air into a lateral ventricle. The air has passed out of the ventricular system and filled the cerebral sulci, which appears as a network of lines. The cisterna interpeduncularis and the major branches passing to the cerebral sulci are fairly distinct just above the sella turcica. The lateral ventricle is normal."

Figure 2: "Photograph of a roentgenogram of the head after an intraspinous injection of air. The sulci and cisterna are more distinct than after the intraventricular injection as shown in Figure 1."
