Presentation

C/o abdominal pain - 3 -4 days. Increased for last 1 day.

Patient Data

Age: 80
Gender: Female
Ultrasound

Pt was referred for chest radiograph and ultrasound. Study uploaded in actual sequence.

Free intra-peritoneal gas is seen anterior to the left lobe of liver in supine position.

Mild ascites was present.

X-ray

Free gas is present under both domes of diaphragm.

No dilated bowel loops.

Right shoulder anterior dislocation.

Case Discussion

Findings favor a pneumoperitoneum.
