Pneumoperitoneum

Presentation

Upper abdominal pain and vomiting - 1 day.

Patient Data

Age: 45 yrs
Gender: Female
Ultrasound

There is free gas anterior to the left lobe of liver and in gastro-hepatic ligament. Free fluid was present in the hepato renal region. 

X-ray

Next study was an abdominal radiograph - erect abdomen - No free gas.

Case Discussion

CT: was done at other center (not uploaded, no copyright). Pneumoperitoneum present. Site of perforation not visualized.

Surgery: 2.5 cm gastric antrum perforation, covered with omentum.

Histopathology: Changes of chronic ulceration. No malignancy found.
