Pneumomediastinum on plain radiograph. Streaky lucency in upper mediastinum. Air elevating pericardium. Surgical emphysaema right supraclavicular fossa.

Non-contrast CT scan confirms moderate pneumomediastinum with extension into soft tissues of neck. Several gas locules are also seen tracking into extradural vertebral canal.
Case Discussion
Spontaneous pneumomediastinum in a young man. Incidental pneumorrhachis on CT. This was treated conservatively.
