Large right pneumothorax with near complete collapse of the right lung: atelectatic right upper, right middle, right lower lobes are apparent. Mediastinal shift to the left, splayed right ribs and low right diaphragm are indicators of increased pleural pressure.
Case Discussion
Classic appearance of right-sided pneumothorax with complete collapse of the right lung and leftward mediastinal shift. Follow-up chest radiograph or CT can be helpful to look for underlying lung disease in the older patient.
