Pneumothorax (MRI)

Presentation

Chest pain, difficulty breathing. The examination was performed to rule out intercostal neuralgia. Past history: surgery was performed to remove renal angiomyolipoma.

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

Air in the pleural cavity on the left, the lung is collapsed.

Case Discussion

Left-sided pneumothorax in a pregnant woman. An unusual case for diagnosis by MRI. Chest x-ray for correlation confirmed the diagnosis (the examination was performed in another clinic, not shown). The patient was referred to a thoracic surgeon, and a puncture was performed.
