Poland syndrome

Case contributed by Dr Alexandra Stanislavsky
X-ray

Hyperlucency of the left hemithorax is secondary to the absence of the left pectoralis muscle and of some of the anterior ends of left ribs, consistent with Poland syndrome. Cardiomediastinal shift to the right is due to the chest wall deformity.

CT

Congenitally absent left pectoralis muscle and some of the anterior ends of left ribs.
