Incidental finding in a chest CT for dyspnea.
Patient Data
CT images show thickening of the primary vertical weight baring trabeculae leading to corduroy sign on sagittal projection and polka-dot sign axially. It is caused by replacement of the normal cancellous bone by thickened vertical trabeculae surrounded by fat marrow or vascular lacunae in intraosseous hemangiomas.
