Presentation with polyarteritis nodosa. Back and leg pain and weakness.

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

Multifocal abnormal areas of T2 high-signal in the paraspinal and lower limb muscles. These tend to be peripheral and associated with a perforating vessel and have a triangular appearance with the apex being central and the base, peripheral.
