When diagnosing ( Polycystic Ovaries )polycystic ovaries, We one can apply the ( Ten Rule) as a (aten rule of thumb), :

1-   

  1. Volume of each ovary (>10 cm3).

These MRI images reveals the characteristic  appearance of the ( polycystic Ovaries)ovaries,  

1-   

  1. Both ovaries are seen enlarged enlarged in size.

    2-    The both

  2. Both ovaries contain abnormallyan abnormally large number of follicles (&gt; 10;10-12 each).

    3-   

  3. All follicles show more-or-less similar size with no dominant follicles detected ( size(size &lt; 10mm;10 mm).

    4-   

  4. The follicles display abnormal distribution being arrangesarranged peripherally showing(showing the characteristic ( string"string of pearls" appearance).
