Polycystic renal disease

Sudden onset pain in right renal area. Masses palpable in the abdomen. Ceatinine 93. GFR 58

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

The kidneys are greatly enlarged (>18 cm left, 15 cm right) both contain multiple cysts of varying density. Some cysts are quite dense indicating hemorrhage into the cysts. Multiple hepatic cysts are also present. No ovarian cysts seen.

Diagnosis: adult polycystic disease of kidneys.
