Bilateral symmetrical thickened poorly formed gyri at both frontoparietal lobes are seen which have involved sylvian fissures.
No accompanied heterotopia or schizencephaly is depicted.
This finding is compatible with bilateral frontoparietal polymicrogyria or perisylvian syndrome.
Case Discussion
This is the typical case of bilateral frontoparietal polymicrogyria.
It has been postulated what bilateral frontoparietal polymicrogyria may be on a continuum with other related conditions, in this case cobblestone lissencephaly.
