There is accessory testis identified in the upper hemi scrotal sac on the left side. It appears comparatively smaller and shows mild lobulations with few incomplete septa.
Seperate epididymis noted. It is drained by the left sided vas deferens.
No evidence of torsion or focal lesion or microlithiasis.
Otherwise the bilateral testis with epididymis and vas deferens appears normal.
Case Discussion
Polyorchidism type A 2 (testis with separate epididymis and drained by ipsilateral common vas deferens) is a very rare congenital abnormality. It is important to identify any associated complicating features like torsion or mass lesion.
