Case Discussion

This is a typical site for hypertension-associated cerebral haemorrhage although it is rarely seen on antemortem CT scanning as it is usually an acutely fatal condition.  Differential diagnosis would include bleeding into a vascular malformation such as a cavernous haemangioma.
