Presentation

Right-sided hemiparesis.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
mri

The left hemi-pons demonstrates abnormal high T2 signal, low T1 signal, and high diffusion signal, in-keeping with an acute pontine infarction without a hemorrhagic component. The basilar artery appears normal.

Small vessel ischemic changes are also noted.
