Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Recurrent high grade endometrial clear cell carcinoma. Previous laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy.

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female

Ill defined soft tissues lesions noted in the anterior abdominal wall muscles and subcutaneous tissues, corresponding to the sites of the laparoscopic instrument ports, in keeping port site metastatic recurrence. 

Case Discussion

Port-site metastasis after laparoscopic and robotic surgeries for gynecologic cancers is rare. Port-site metastasis risk is ~1% for all laparoscopic cancer surgeries with a risk of ~0.05% for endometrial cancer.
