Portal vein thrombosis

Filling defect is present at portal vein and its intrahepatic branches extends to SMV, inferring thrombosis. Mild mesenteric fat stranding is evident particularly at small bowel mesentery root.
The prostate gland is mildly enlarged.
A little amount free fluid is present at pelvis.

Portal vein thrombosis may be seen in a variety of clinical contexts, and when acute can be a life-threatening condition.
