Post nephrectomy abscess formation

Presentation

This 45-year-old man has a history of renal cell carcinoma. Radical nephrectomy was performed one month earlier. He now presents with fever and left flank pain.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years old
Gender: Male
CT scan shows a large collection with internal septation and peripheral contrast enhancement in the left renal bed which is extending into the subcutaneous tissue with associated involvement of  the left psoas muscle.There are also multiple hyperdense stones in the gallbladder and a small epigastric hernia.
