Presentation
History of left thigh trauma one year ago, now presenting with a lump.
Patient Data
Abnormal signal intensity lobulated mass lesion is noted at the anterior aspect of the left distal thigh within vastus medialis and subcutaneous adipose tissue. Foci of flow voids are seen within the mass. Arterial supply arises from small branches of the superficial femoral artery.
Case Discussion
Features are compatible with post-traumatic arteriovenous malformation. Peripheral arteriovenous malformation constitutes 40% of vascular malformations. Clinical symptoms can vary from no symptom to high output cardiac failure 1.
Dr. Mohammed Tahir Aien has also contributed to this case.
