Post-traumatic subdural hygroma

Presentation

Confusion 2 weeks post trauma.

Patient Data

Gender: Male

Subarachnoid hemorrhage, parafalcine subdural hemorrhages and asymmetry in the subarachnoid/subdural space overlying the left frontal lobe. Note the interpeduncular hemorrhage

CT

CT scan 2 weeks later (increasing confusion)

There has been resolution of traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage. Left frontal subdural CSF density collection has increased in size consistent with an enlarging post traumatic subdural hygroma
