High signal in a well defined area involving the cortical and subcortical aspects of the right occipital lobe, in keeping with acute infarction.
Case Discussion
The clinical examination found a left homonymous hemianopia. This finding may be caused by damage to the optic pathway either at the optic tracts or the occipital lobes.
