Patient Data

Age: 25 year
Gender: Male

There is complete posterior dislocation of the left hip. The left femoral head is displaced posterior, superior, and slightly lateral to the acetabulum.

Marked left hip joint hemarthrosis is seen.

Case Discussion

Posterior dislocation of the hip joint is much more common than anterior dislocation and is mainly caused by forceful trauma.
