  • there are ill-defined T2 hyperintensities with diffusion restriction involving the cortex and the subcortical white matter of the left and right cerebellar hemispheres, in the territory of the posterior inferior cerebellar arteries (PICA)

  • wedge-shaped enhancement after Gadolinium injection

  • there is no obvious stenosis or occlusion of the posterior inferior cerebellar arteries
