Edema and T2/FLAIR hyperintensities in bilateral parietooccipital lobes and basal ganglia. No significant diffusion restriction is seen.
Case Discussion
History and imaging findings are quite typical of posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES). The blood pressure was brought under control with antihypertensives and the patient recovered in a few days.
