Post reduction radiograph: No dislocation. No fracture appreciated.

 

Case Discussion

The key to deciding whether a dislocation is anterior or posterior is to identify the coracoid process, which is pointed anteriorly. If the humeral head is displaced towards this it is an anterior dislocation and if it is displaced away from it then it is a posterior dislocation.
