Partially distended, thick-walled urinary bladder with bilateral moderate hydroureter and hydronephrosis. Right perinephric anechoic collection along with upper pole calyceal fornix rupture. Case Discussion

An infant presented with excessive crying and abdominal distension for the last few days. Ultrasound shows a posterior urethral valve. There is a rupture of a right renal upper pole calyceal fornix with right perinephric urinoma. The presence of the ascites is possibly due to intraperitoneal rupture of the urinary bladder. However, it could not be confirmed during the scan.
