Posterior urethral valve

Marked bilateral hydroureteronephrosis to the level of the urinary bladder was seen. There was also some dependent debris in the pelvicalyceal system of the left kidney. There was no ureterocoele. An MCUG was organized.

Two spot images of patient's MCUG examination.
There are trabeculations in the posterior wall of the bladder on the oblique view. Dilatation and elongation of the posterior urethra was demonstrated on the AP view at micturition consistent with posterior urethral valve.
