The ultrasound images demonstrate:
- enlarged kidneys with hydronephrosis
- dilated and tortuous ureters
- distended bladder and posterior urethra
- oligohydramnios
Case Discussion
Ultrasound features of marked hydronephrosis with hydroureters, distended bladder and posterior urethra with oligohydramnios in a male fetus are most consistent with posterior urethral valves.
