Posttraumatic ankle joint ankylosis

There is absence of the articular slit caused by a full bony ankylosis of the ankle joint with extensive osseus overgrowth around it
There are old lateral malleolus and posterior tibial margin non-consolidated fractures
High PD and low T1 signals within os talus, os calcaneus and talo-calcaneal joint reflecting it's arthritis and chronic compession factures.
Subluxation in the calcaneo-cuboidal joint is also seen
Case Discussion
This is a relatively rare case of posttraumatic ankle joint ankylosis due to rejection of surgical treatment at the time of injury.
