A single healthy fetus of 20 weeks gestation with cephalic presentation.
The contraceptive device is noted at the lower uterine segment just above the cervix in subamniotic location. No penetration to amniotic sac or the uterine wall. It is well-visualized with its T-shaped appearance.
Case Discussion
Retained missed IUCD with pregnancy raise the possibilities of adverse pregnancy outcomes like miscarriage, intrauterine growth retardation, intrauterine fetal death, preterm birth and preterm premature rupture of membranes.
