Anterior left knee pain and swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Fluid-filled multiloculated sac seen anterior to the patella with superior extension through the subcutaneous tissue and displays the intermediate signal on T1 and bright signal on T2 and PDFS

Minimal joint effusion.

Case Discussion

Prepatellar bursitis is inflammation and fluid collection within the prepatellar bursa, located between the patella and the overlying subcutaneous tissue.
