Axial contrast enhanced CT demonstrates a heterogeneous soft tissue mass in the presacral space of the extraperitoneal pelvis and in the sacral foramina with osseous destruction and extension to the spinal canal via the neuroforamina. There are also anterior displacement of the distended bladder and rectum as well as bilateral hydronephrosis due to distal involvement of the ureters.
She went on to have a biopsy and pathology confirmed a Yolk sac tumour.
