Presentation
Painless right scrotal swelling for two months. No history of trauma, fever or weight loss.
Patient Data
A large well defined lobulated hypoechoic mass, containing a few echogenic septae, is noted in the right testis. It has increased vascularity on Doppler ultrasound examination and is suggestive of a primary testicular malignancy. Left testis is normal.
Delayed whole body static images show focal increased radiotracer activity in the right inguinal region, which is along the line of recent surgical scar. Normal physiological radiotracer uptake is noted in liver, spleen and bone marrow. No area of abnormal radiotracer activity is noted.
Post-surgical changes in the right inguinal region. No mediastinal or abdominopelvic lymphadenopathy is seen. No metastatic disease is seen in the chest and abdomen.
Case Discussion
The patient underwent right orchiectomy and the histopathology showed Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. The patient was referred to the medical oncologist for further management.
