Progressive systemic sclerosis involving the knee

There are numerous irregularly shaped calcific densities in the subcutaneous soft tisssues anterior to the knee, extending from the prepatelar region to the proximal tibial diaphysis. There is also a fleck of calcification noted anterior to the mid tibial diaphysis. There is no joint effusion.

Case Discussion
The subcutaneous calcifications seen in this case are reminiscent of dermatomyositis, but this patient had a known history of scleroderma.
