Case Discussion

Proliferating trichilemmal cysts, also known as proliferating trichilemmal tumors, are dermal or subcutaneous tumors which usually arise in the scalp and appear as well-defined solid or cystic masses. The cystic component contains high-density proteinaceous material (keratin). They may have coarse calcification within them.
