Presentation

Increased PSA (10.1 ng/ml)

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male
mri

Homogeneous T2-hypointense lesion in the right peripheral zone at the apex of the prostate, measuring 12 x 17 mm, showing diffusion restriction, i.e. markedly hyperintense on DWI (b=1400 and b=2000) with low ADC values. Prostate margin: capsular contact, no bulge or breach. Prostate size: 37 x 38 x 45 mm; volume: 33 cc. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) of the transitional zone.
Normal seminal vesicles.
Neurovascular bundles are not involved.
No pelvic nodes and no appreciable bone lesions.
