Pelvic pain.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male

Mildly enlarged prostate showing a hypoechoic focal lesion involving the left aspect, likely cystic or necrotic.

Left prostatic cystic necrotic lesion elicits a high signal in T2, markedly restricted in diffusion with a high signal in DWI and a very low signal in ADC. Marginal and septal enhancement is seen in the post-contrast T1.

Case Discussion

TRUS drainage was done and revealed purulent fluid confirming the diagnosis of prostatic abscess.
