Case Discussion
Cryptorchidism refers to an absence of a testis (or testes) in the scrotal sac. It may refer to an undescended testis, ectopic testis, or an atrophic or absent testis. Correct localization of the testes is essential because surgical management varies on location.
Prostatic utricle cyst (or utricular cyst) (PUC) is an area of focal dilatation that occurs within the prostatic utricle.
Association of prostatic utricle cysts with a variety of genitourinary abnormalities is recognized and include:
- hypospadias
- cryptorchidism
- unilateral renal agenesis
