Presentation

Incidental finding on MRI performed to evaluate potential thyroid cancer metastasis

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

There is an incidental subcentimeter midline hyper-STIR, iso-T1, peripherally enhancing lesion in the prostatic gland which demonstrates on sagittal images a beak-like extension towards the urethra.

Additionaly, subcentimeter enhancing bone lesion in the left iliac bone, most likely a thyroid cancer metastasis because of high uptake on TEP-scan (not shown).

Case Discussion

Findings are in keeping with a prostatic utricle cyst, a benign finding with no additional workup needed.
