Presentation

Acute onset right shoulder pain following a motor vehicle collision.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Cortical irregularity and step-off of the superior aspect of the humeral head, representing a nondisplaced fracture. There are multiple punctate ossific densities just superior to the right glenoid, which could represent fracture fragments of the humeral head.

The right glenohumeral joint is maintained. The right acromioclavicular and coracoclavicular intervals are not widened.

Case Discussion

After stabilization upon clinical presentation, the patient underwent open-reduction internal fixation with surgical plates and screws.
