There is an oblique fracture of the proximal phalanx of the right fifth finger with associated soft tissue swelling.
Bone density appears normal for age.
Case Discussion
This represents a case of a proximal phalanx fracture. The patient was given a splint and an orthopaedic follow-up in 6 weeks. After the follow-up, he was advised to engage in finger range of motion as tolerated.
