Limited range of motion at the wrist

Patient Data

Age: 3 years
Gender: Male

Suggestion of a proximal radioulnar synostosis on the lateral view. 


Dedicated elbow x-ray confirms the presence of a proximal radioulnar synostosis. 

Case Discussion

The patient's reduced range of motion was reduced supination/pronation. Radioulnar synostoses are most common in the proximal third.
