Proximal metaphyseal buckling of the tibial cortex predominantly on the ventral aspect, with a small, minimally displaced avulsed cortical fragment. Moderate knee soft tissue swelling.
Case Discussion
Proximal metaphyseal tibia fractures typically occur in an older age group (2-6 years), thus it is crucial to consider whether the injury pattern is in line with the history (as in this case), and that there are no signs of a potential NAI.
