Hospitalized and following antibiotic therapy for pneumonia. Now has increasing abdominal pain and progressive watery diarrhea.

Grossly thickened colon wall and low-attenuation edematous submucosa with pericolonic stranding. All colonic segments are affected indicating this is a pancolitis.
The central loop of bowel just superior to the urinary bladder demonstrates the accordion sign.
