Presentation

Perforated appendix in 2009 with emergency appendectomy. Subsequent histology showed mucinous cystadenoma. Now abdominal distension.

Gross mucinous material (not fluid) surrounding the liver, causing marked distortion to the hepatic contour. Note infiltration through the right hemidiaphragm (arrow) into the right hemithorax.

Small cystic lesion consistent with mucinous tumor involving the inverted stump of the appendix post emergency appendectomy.
