Case Discussion
Pulled elbow syndrome, or nursemaid's elbow, refers to a traumatic radial head subluxation in respect to the annular ligament.
These injuries are usually seen in children younger than 5 years old, with a peak incidence between the ages of 1 and 3 years.
The classic mechanism of trauma is axial traction with an extended elbow.
